my musical taste tends to be widespread… one second i may be listening to major lazer and the next song is most likely the 1812 overture. this isn’t an exaggeration, because this happened to me earlier today. when it comes to studying though i usually have a steady playlist i’ll listen to. sometimes its classical, sometimes it’s oldies and other times its a random group of songs i threw together in a playlist. typically they’re “soothing” in the sense that i can listen to them nonstop and not get distracted, especially when i’m studying and looking for any distraction i can get. so without further ado, here are my current favorite “study songs”:
ode to joy // beecham choral society, rene leibowitz & royal philharmonic orchestra
big parade // the lumineers
wait for me // kings of leon
once there was a hushpuppy // beasts of the southern wild soundtrack
joanna // deaf joe
song for zula // phosphorescent
walk in the trees // the spectacular now soundtrack
all i want // kodaline
to build a home // the cinematic orchestra
1812 overture (finale) // charles gerhardt & philharmonic symphony of london
you and i // ingrid michaelson
laura palmer // bastille
young blood // the naked and famous
