the temperature has finally changed and it is hot as hell, but in the words of icona pop, i don’t care, i love it. with this heat comes a change in clothing, aka i only have been wearing light-colored clothes or white, because i will sweat (or pass out) in anything else. the amount of white clothing i have is ridiculous, but at least i acknowledge it and put it to good use. i’ll be starting work on monday (which i am so excited about), and i’ve been trying to get some cooking in beforehand. if you know me, you know that i love seafood, and once the summer rolls around i can’t get enough of it. i’ve recently discovered grilled shrimp marinated in beer and old bay seasoning, and it is one of the easiest/best recipes ever. ever (huge claim i know, but i promise it’s the best). since it’s extremely hot i’ve been sending dramatic snapchats about the heat (my dog is the star of many of them), making quite a few runs for starbucks for passion iced tea lemonades, and heading into the city whenever i get the chance. if you can experience new york in the summer (when the heat doesn’t make you feel like you have to stay inside) i highly encourage it. so until my next post i’ll leave you with some pictures of summer so far (and maybe even a gratuitous selfie, just because).
