slowly, but surely i am putting together my fall playlist. if you’re wondering why i need a fall playlist, don’t worry i ask myself that too.. (but, it’s necessary, trust me.) i can’t wait for d.c. to get colder, have its leaves start to change, and hopefully i can acquire the taste for starbucks pumpkin spice lattes (even though i can’t stand the taste of coffee with a burning passion). maybe i can just take the espresso out, add chai, and pretend it’s the real thing? ramblings aside, enjoy the playlist above until my next post!

yes, this happened. no, i do not regret any of it. i purchased a medium sized cardboard deer head from cardboard safari and went to town on making him “meg-style.” basically glitter can make anything better in my opinion, but there’s a fine line between tasteful and overload. bucky here toes that line and that’s why i love him.

buying birthday presents isn’t always an easy task. sometimes the celebrant is hard to buy gifts for, the present isn’t just right, or you don’t want to spend a lot of money. in my opinion, it’s nice to give someone something special that you can do for them. for me that something special is cooking, and i figured gifting my friend with a “meal ticket” would be perfect.

one thing i really can’t stand is when i’m seriously disorganized, so you can imagine how stressful college move-in day (or days in my case) is. the roomie and i are still decorating our rooms and after moving in over a week ago, finally managed to raise her bed. i’ve given up on mine… the one thing i do have some control over right now is my desk, and it’s officially becoming a crafting station, no joke.

hey there guys! after moving back to school last weekend, i’m back and ready to get my life in lipstick up and running again.. i needed a bit of time to settle in, but classes are starting up again and i’m slowly, but surely developing a routine. speaking of getting myself together and staying in the loop with my school work, i wanted to share something very cool with you all. i have had the amazing opportunity to partner up with a chain of stores in my town (loop, gallery couture, and the gibson) to blog about some of my favorite pieces and outfits from time to time (or school break to school break).

going into sophomore year is a totally different feeling for me… last year my nerves got the better of me (total understatement), but it all turned out great. i couldn’t be more excited to head back to georgetown, and i feel more ready and older in a way. it’s an indescribable feeling, but all in all a good one. once i have my dorm set up next week, i’ll have more posts up! until then, i’ll “see” you soon!

sophomore year is beginning next week and i couldn’t be more excited. new classes, new experiences and new moments with friends all await me, and starting sunday everything picks up again. i’m starting to pack (which has turned out to be absolutely hellish), and narrowing down clothes, jewelry, shoes and all of the above, hopefully learning from last year’s move in. for the next few days posts won’t be as frequent, but to tide you guys over i thought i’d share my dorm design scheme. i love the way everything came together, and it just so happens this is the one thing i have figured out!

i absolutely love making things from scrapbooks to cards, but room decor is probably my favorite. inspiration boards, murals cut out of silver poster board, you name it, i probably love or would love to make it. i had seen these confetti canvases all over the internet and figured they’d be easy to make. easy is an understatement! you only need a few supplies, along with ten minutes, and you’re good to go. when the holidays come around i plan on making some for me and my roommate to hang up on our dorm room door (how cute would a halloween one be?!). you can definitely personalize these through color, quotes, initials, etc., which i definitely think i’ll do in the future!
